Miti’s fusion udon

Miti’s fusion udon combines a great dashi – carrot , spring onion and special potatoe and pea broth combined with the classic ingredients.

This fusion udon was beautifully spiced and flavoured. Not too much of anything, great flavour, clean and moorish.

Fresh ingredients broccoli, asparagus, prawns and chicken.

Mac & Cheese @ Old Salt Quay

The Old Salt Quay in Se16 is a sleeping gem in Rotherhithe London.

There mac and cheese ticks all the boxes for good “pub” food.

Tasty, filling and moorish.

The cheesy topping was delightfully goldened, the sides a bonus.

Not a complex dish, but was any left ? No.

Steak Carpaccio @ The Mayfair Hotel

The Mayfair Hotel near Green Park has always been known for some stunning food and drink.
Today’s sampling was a Steak Carpaccio.

The portion size was bit small, even for a quick bite. This is not one that will fill you up all day, but perfect for sharing. (Not that you’ll want to).

Quality beef.

Thinly sliced

Beautifully spiced.

Rocket and a little Parmesan, salt and pepper and a little …. and you have all ingredients.

Yes there was definitely a secret ingredient.

Presented simply but beautifully, the colours worked well.

This will be sure to please.

Lobster Pasta @ The Mayfair Hotel

The Mayfair Hotel near Green Park has always been known for some stunning food and drink.

Today’s sampling was a Lobster Pasta (with a hint of chilli).

The portion size was spot on for a quick bite. This is not one that will fill you up all day, but perfect for a working day with room for extras.

The flavour was spot on – which made a dish we’ve samples around the world – refreshing.

Sometimes the simplest concepts can fly or die.

The pasta was spot on and nicely al dente.

Today it worked well.

Would we eat it again ? Yes.

Would we recommend it for a date or friend ? Yes.
